A friend of Woodstock since the beginning, Josh has had a remarkable career. First coming to Woodstock's attention as a 15yo playing for Brighton & Hove he has progressed incredibly well, even claiming the wicket of Michael Clarke in an A Grade game in Sydney a couple of winters ago!
He made his first, first-class appearance in the 2011 season, against Surrey. Poysden scored 47 runs in Cambridge MCCU's first-innings, before being dismissed by Matthew Spriegel. He also took three wickets in the match. On 31 July 2015, Poysden took a catch to dismiss Mitchell Starc off the bowling of Moeen Ali while fielding as a substitute in the third Ashes Test match and having spent time with Warwickshire is now a contracted Yorkshire CCC professional.
A very capable leg spinner across all three formats, Josh continues to grow into his career as a first class cricketer and we look forward to continually supporting him on his journey.
